August 4, 2016: SIF Addiction (and osu!)

If you ask me what I have that makes my life interesting, it would be Love Live! School Idol Festival. This summer was uneventful and nothing happened to me at all. Some relative visits here and there, going out to a restaurant once in a while, things like that. But during early last year I discovered this game. Now, I had tried to download this a year or two ago but at the time, my phone didn't allow me to download it's over 500 MB of game files. I kind just deleted the game, because it felt like it would be a hassle to go and try to make it work. But this time around, FolderMount saved the day and allowed me to move all its files to the SD card.

So I jumped from account to account, and now through a series of trading I've ended up with a whale account. The previous player spent over $1600 USD on this game, and potentially even more if they used iOS (Apple) devices. In-app purchase costs vary significantly when comparing Android and iOS, and iOS purchases tend to cost more, at least in LL. The teams are quite strong as well, with a solid 55k+ teams. Average teams for a new player would be around the 20k region, then when they start to get stronger, average players reach around the 40k+ range, and usually senior players end up in the 48~53k ranges. Anything higher usually means tons of purchases were made or they were just extremely lucky.

Seeing that I've obtained a pretty good account, my dreams to finally give up LL are kind of, not going to come true. The addiction sinks way too deep down to the core. In any case, if you want to check my progress, here is my School Idol Tomodachi account. As of now, I'm just quite excited for the next update. Finally, the long-awaited 4.0 update will come this Fall (supposedly) to our international server. It will bring over features such as a higher difficulty and seal shop changes. The new difficulty, master, wasn't as hard as I thought. Yes, it does have combo breakers, but it was not harder than our current flame songs. (super hard expert songs) The seal system will be changed so when removing a member that is idolized will only grant a single seal, making the idea of selling idolized members a bad idea.

Thinking about it, although summer has been boring and nothing much was done, I will go volunteer for a small convention on Sunday. It'll be held somewhere near me, and it's called Kin-Yoobi Con. I'm not sure how this will turn out in the end, being that it's a small convention and that the area they have is small. They also don't have that many things to do there, so there's also that. I really hope volunteering for them will be fun and enjoyable. I mean, who likes boring conventions anyways? I invited some people I know to come. I think they said there was takoyaki I misspelled it takoYAOI last time so I'm really excited to try it out. I only have to work for 4 hours so it shouldn't be too bad. There's a mandatory meeting tomorrow and I hope to see how it all works out.

As for osu!... I think it's the fact I'm not practicing enough at it. My skills at osu! are lacking, compared to games like Taiko no Tatsujin and LL. Passing easy songs are already kind of tough for me, but normal songs are on a whole higher level. I doubt I'll ever get to harder songs unless I dedicate as much time as I do to LL.

I'll have to hike my grades up to B's or higher before I can even think about potentially being able to play games and do things I want to do at home. With the grades I have now, there's going to be disapproval and my parents will suggest that I should just study more instead of playing games and all. How am I supposed to get to a college at this rate with these bad grades... I really need to stop procrastinating on every single thing related to school.

I guess summer is drawing to an end, less than 30 days before school starts. It disappoints me that it just ends so quickly. I didn't have a good time in summer anyways so I guess school will make it more interesting. Being on Facebook, Reddit, and Gmail non-stop gets old really quickly. I hope this is a good enough blog post, since I haven't done one lately, nor have I ever usually done any good ones. Any questions, just shoot me an email. (alichak000@gmail.com) I guess I'll talk to you people later. Not that anyone reads this

July 7, 2016: Cringe-fest

So right now, I decided I would cover a song for the first time in years. It's not going well. I'm dying, every time I sing this there's a cringefest going on. I'll just leave now.

June 27, 2016: Alpha

I had the chance to test out a game in alpha today and it was quite bad and buggy. It was fun, but I regret putting in so much effort since I won't get anything in return other than some sort of gift pack when the game comes out. It had some translation errors and it seemed to crash a bit.

June 26, 2016: Failure at Taiko

Taiko no Tatsujin is my favorite rhythm game of all time. It's pretty fun, and with two buttons that you have to hit you would expect that it would be just, pretty easy. That's what I thought when I started playing; but it got harder after hitting the highest difficulty, Oni. I never knew that the notes would come at me at lightning fast speeds. I can say I can pass most of the 7 star Oni songs, but as for 8, 9, or 10 star ones, I absolutely have difficulty doing those. I'm starting some new shows lately, and I still need to finish the 13th episode of Re:Zero. I've watched half the episode and I'm stuck on the other half. There's nothing else I can do other than watch television.

June 15, 2016: I Know.

So if you keep asking me, why I'm not updating this regularly... all I can say is that this blog isn't as important to me as before. It should be, but it isn't. However, I am keeping up with anime and you might be able to track me down here, which is where my MyAnimeList profile is at. Go there.

So Shadowverse finally decided to show up after its long closed beta back a few months ago. I was literally waiting for ages. Seriously, it took that long? Also, I'm going to be in my second year of high school now. I have to say, my first year sucked. There wasn't much stuff to do. Internexus turned out fine, and I would say it is an amazing improvement to last year.

I guess I'm making friends, and them senpais are noticing me. I hope I can do better next year at Internexus and potentially be the president of the JAM club at my school... not that I have that sort of luck. I'll try my best though, and I hope they'll notice.

June 2, 2016: Internexus

I'm looking forward to volunteering for this. Hopefully someone will come to our mini anime convention. Sigh.

May 26, 2016: That Inactivity

You may be wondering, what's kept you so long from your last post? Let me tell you, with a combination of terrible grades, Love Live School Idol Festival, and anime, it made the perfect environment to neglect my blog. I'm sorry. But I'm back, for a while, and let me share with you this: Love Live is cancer. It infected me and now I can't stop playing it. I don't know what to say, but if you have anything you would like to ask me just comment.

March 11, 2016: Long Hiatus...

Well, it's been ages and I'm finally back. Things have changed lately. Rage of Bahamut is finally dead, Blood Brothers is dead as well, and I'm starting to get into rhythm games. Not much to say about it, but they're fun. Mobage has been pulling the plug on tons of games lately and I  think they're preparing for release of Shadowverse in the international reqion.
